Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has since been referred to as a snake by Chelsea fans since his move to Real Madrid.

Courtois won two Premier League titles at Chelsea, but left the club in 2018 after demanding a move to Real Madrid.

Chelsea fans were angry to have lost club legend Petr Cech for Courtois, and the manner in which he sought a move was very disrespectful to the club.

Courtois is keen to kick out his former club in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final clash between Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Sources close to Courtois claim Courtois hasn’t been pleased with the names he had been called and the attack from fans, and he wished he could play in front of the Stamford Bridge supporters.

The source told the Athletic: “All the comments he’s read about being the snake will inspire him instead, Going back to Chelsea will be different for him compared to Hazard.

“[He] would have relished facing the inevitable jeers had supporters been allowed in at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night and used it to play even better.”
