Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel believes Arsenal were lucky to beat Chelsea as they wouldn’t have scored if we hadn’t gifted them the goal.
“The first half was OK, it was enough to lead 3-0 but we were 1-0 down because we forgot to score at the other end and then scored an own goal practically, I don’t know how Arsenal would’ve scored if we didn’t give it to them ourselves,” Thomas Tuchel told BBC in his post-match comments.
He added: “It is a totally lucky win & nobody can argue with that. It is not a deserved win, not at all for Arsenal.
“But I don’t want to go there 100 per cent because we all lacked concentration. Maybe I also gave some signals to the team with changes that Saturday is on my mind.”
Chelsea had 19 shots (5 on target) throughout the 90 minutes, while Arsenal had just 5 (2 on target).
They also had a larger share of possession across the game (68 per cent to 32).
