According to Daily Star, Everton have joined Chelsea in the race for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Aguero will leave Manchester City at the end of the season when his contract expires and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on bringing the Argentine striker to Stamford Bridge.
However, Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti hopes to convince the 32 year old striker to join Everton instead.
Everton can’t afford Aguero’s £240K-a-week wage packet, but would be prepared to offer him a lucrative signing on fee instead.
Tottenham, Leeds, Barcelona and Inter Milan are the other clubs interested in signing the 32 year old striker.
Aguero has spent much of the last two seasons struggling with injury but his record of 181 goals in 272 league appearances for City means he is still a player in serious demand.
