Former Manchester City right-back Micah Richards was in buoyant mood ahead of the Champions League final against Chelsea.

Richards believed his former club would get the victory, but was surprised with how the game panned out, as City couldn’t get a grip on the game.

Richards singled out Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante for praise, as he admitted that the Frenchman covered every blade of the grass at the Estadio do Gradao.

Former Manchester City star Micah Richards told CBS Sports: “He was sensational. He was everywhere on the pitch, he covered every blade of grass.

“Look at his desire and work-rate. Every counter-attack City had, he just snuffed it out. He does the simple things really well. He was the start of the show time and time again.”
