N’Golo Kante was the man of the match in the Champions League final, as Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1-0 to win the Cup.
The 30-year-old was at his usual best sniffing and snuffing out City’s attacking moves, and he did it without sweat.
Having won the man of the match award in three consecutive Champions League games, Jamie Carragher was in awe of the Chelsea midfielder.
Speaking after the game, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher gushed about the performance of Kante, and hailed him as a player who will be described as one of the greatest to play in the Premier League.
Carragher also added that the Makelele role could as well now be named the Kante role.
Carragher told CBS Sports: “When he finishes, I think this guy will be spoken about as one of the greatest players or midfielders we’ve seen in the Premier League.
“We speak about it as the Makelele role, I think we’ll start talking about it as the Kante role when he hangs his boots up. He was outstanding and rightly the man of the match.”
Kante has won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and Europa League and also the World Cup and Champions League. What a player!
