French club Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to steal a march on Chelsea in the race for Rennes teenage wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga.
According to French media outlet L’Equipe, PSG sporting director Leonardo commenced talks with Rennes after both sides met in the league on Sunday in a bid to strike a deal for Camavinga this summer.
Rennes are open to selling the 18 year old midfielder this summer with his contract expiring next season.
Real Madrid, Manchester United and German club Bayern Munich are also interested in the teenage wonderkid who has played 37 times so far this season.
Speaking to Goal back in February, Camavinga’s agent Jonathan Barnett, who also represents Gareth Bale, hailed the midfielder as best in the world in the future.
“Let’s see what happens later on, but he’s doing well in Rennes and that’s fine,” Barnett said.
“Being the best midfielder in the world, that’s how I see his future, [with] a lot of medals and a lot of trophies.”
