An unfortunate Jorginho error led to Chelsea conceding a goal in the 16th minute, as Arsenal went on to win the game 1-0.
Kurt Zouma was put under pressure, and he passed the ball to Jorginho who was already being marked. Without looking, Jorginho gave a wrong pass to the goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, and the Gunners made no mistake to punish Chelsea’s error.
Speaking after the game, Arsenal legend Ian Wright revealed that Zouma was the weak link in the Chelsea back line.
“I think Kurt Zouma is someone that should be put under pressure,” Wright said in his analysis for Premier League Productions.
“Especially playing on the left-hand side of defence. He’s not comfortable. He looked very nervous.
“I think the pressure they’ve put on him has made him pass back to Jorginho, who was then rushed by Emile Smith Rowe.
“I always thought it was weakness, Zouma.”
