Chelsea have improved defensively since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss, with the Blues keeping 17 clean sheets in all competitions in just 23 games.
Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has revealed the secret to Chelsea’s defensive improvement under Tuchel.
Asked what Tuchel did to improve the team defensively, Christensen said: “We changed the system, which obviously worked really well.
“It’s not just as a back five but the whole team. We are trying to be a very difficult team to play against, a horrible team.
“Then as soon as we get the ball we want to play good football, quick football, a lot of energy.
“We are just trying to work on the same idea. As new ideas come across we want to take them on board very quickly. At the moment we are growing.
“When things work out you just gain confidence. We are trying to work on the same things and make them work even better. That’s what we do quite well.”
