Chelsea have a chance of winning the Champions League this season as the Blues have the advantage heading to the second leg of the Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid.

Chelsea winning the Champions League and finishing outside the top four, or Arsenal winning the Europa League may be bad news for Liverpool, as it could stop them from qualifying for the Champions League next season, even if they make fourth place.

Chelsea and Arsenal are both one game away from European finals, and should Tuchel and Arteta win the Champions League and Europa League respectively, UEFA ruling would ensure that Liverpool would be ruled out of Champions League action next season – regardless of where Chelsea and Arsenal finish domestically.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken against the ruling, as he has said that it won’t be a good thing to experience.

“It is not nice if you are fourth and then you get kicked out because of another team winning the Champions League. That’s not cool,” Klopp said, as per the Daily Mail. “These are the rules at the moment so we have to accept them and if they are wrong, then we have to change them.”

Klopp would rather prefer that all six teams make it to the Championship.

“There is a good chance again of having two all-English finals in Europe. That makes it really tricky. You could end up with six teams (qualifying) in the Champions League.

“I have no problem with that. I would love it.”
