Mason Mount was 11 years old when Didier Drogba combined forces with a team of heroes to defy the odds and lead Chelsea to their first ever Champions League victory.

Mount as an academy player has since harboured dreams that he can achieve same feat at the club, and 9 years after, he is now a key part of the Chelsea team who has found their way to the final of the Champions League.

The 22-year-old has revealed that he’s keen to achieve what the Chelsea team achieved in 2012.

He said: “I was at home in my front room, watching the game with my family. My dad let me stay up and watch the game.

“It was unbelievable to watch, to see the atmosphere, to see the celebrations and to see the legends that were at this club achieve greatness.

“For me, it started that dream of me wanting to do it and I want to do it with this team. Now we have given ourselves a great opportunity to achieve it.

“With the team we have and with the group we have, the staff and the feeling we have, the confidence we have, we know we can do it.

“It’s one more game to go but it’s going to be a very tough one. We are in the final and we’ve got to finish it off. We will give it everything.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
