It has been a different route to the Champions League final for Chelsea and Manchester City, as they prepare for the big game in Porto on Saturday.

For Chelsea, the Blues went through a managerial change and found consistency before reaching the final. The victory over Real Madrid in the semifinal was a huge one for the club.

City meanwhile, have had a very steady campaign all year long, and have won two trophies this season.

Former Manchester United and Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes it’s City’s destiny to win the Champions League this season.

“I think it feels like fate for City,” Hargreaves said when asked for his prediction.

“It feels like their destiny. As good as Pep is and he hasn’t won one of these for a long time, he will want to mark this occasion.

“I don’t think he’ll tinker with it this time around. With the defence he has and the goalkeeper I think you can pretty much guarantee who is going to play.”
