Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was unimpressed with the role Jorginho played in Arsenal’s goal in their 1-0 victory over Chelsea.
Jorginho’s backpass ran past goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga towards the open net and while the Chelsea goalkeeper kept the ball out, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang collected and squared to Emile Smith Rowe for a simple tap-in.
Tuchel said: “It’s totally our fault, nobody elses. I think we lost the game. It’s totally our responsibility.
“We had huge changes, we made an own goal more or less. A total gift.
“But overall we were not sharp enough. We could not put the same energy in as usual.”
Asked whether Jorginho should have passed it wide of the post, Tuchel responded: “The rule is pass the ball to the right foot of Kepa. This is the rule.
“No matter if it’s in the goal or sideways, pass it to Kepa.”
