Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi was once the target of German giants Bayern Munich, but the club held on to the talented academy product.
Hudson-Odoi burst into the scene as a 17-year-old under Antonio Conte, but it was the following season under Maurizio Sarri where he proved that he is actually a top talent and played a key role in the team’s Europa League success.
Injuries halted his development, and it still seems that he isn’t back to his best form at age 20.
Chelsea had to reject serious overtures from Bayern Munich with multiple bids rejected, including a bid of £35m for an unproven teenager at the time.
With the youngster yet to reach his best form, reports now claim that Chelsea won’t hesitate in shipping out Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer.
The 20-year-old started Thomas Tuchel’s first two games in charge, and seemed to be a key player, but he has since dropped from the first team.
Hudson-Odoi earns wages of £120k a week, and it’s yet to be seen if he’d be at the club next season, as the Blues could be open to a loan deal and some reports claim even a permanent deal with a buyback clause.
Borussia Dortmund are the club most keen on signing the Chelsea winger, and Chelsea may be willing to let him move to Germany this time.
