Chelsea have things in their own hands to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

A win for the Blues against Aston Villa will ensure that Chelsea finish third in the league, regardless of the results from Liverpool and Leicester City game.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has vowed to play his best squad for the game against Villa and has revealed that he won’t put an eye on other team’s results until the latter stage of the game, to be sure of taking certain risks.

According to Tuchel, he’d treat the game like the previous match against Leicester City.

“For a long period of the game I want to be in a bubble,” he said. “If it’s near the end and we have results that have an influence on the amount of risk we need to take, because we are not leading or are not comfortable leading, then we need to know.

“I prefer not to know, but if it’s necessary to adapt our risk-management during the game, I think this is quite normal.

“First of all we approach the game like the game against Leicester, it’s in our hands and we can decide things with a win, so we prepare for this game to be ready to win it, but in a football match there can be a lot of twists and turns so we need to be ready for anything, on our pitches and the others.”
