Former Liverpool star Graeme Souness believes that Chelsea’s main problem is not having a top goalscorer.
Jorginho is currently Chelsea’s highest goalscorer in the Premier League and has scored just 7 goals in the league this season from penalties.
Timo Werner has scored 6 goals in the Premier League this season, and Souness believes it’s a problem for Chelsea.
“That’s their problem, their top goalscorer is Jorginho with seven goals, all from penalties,” Souness told Sky Sports.
“I think with this Chelsea if they have a [striker], I can’t see Harry Kane joining them, but if they were to get Harry Kane, or everyone on planet earth who likes football realises Haaland is a real prospect, they got him.
“I think they’re really close to being the real team, Chelsea. They’ve got a bit of everything about them.
“But if you haven’t got a goalscorer when games are tight, you’ll struggle, and that’s what’s happened to them they’ve lost their momentum in the last few weeks and they needed to win tonight with the games they’ve got ahead and the cup final coming, they were looking down the barrel of not qualifying for the Champions League, not winning the Champions League final.”
