Tottenham are currently being managed by Ryan Mason following the sack of Jose Mourinho six days before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be seeking to sign a new manager at the end of the season, and Spurs have been linked with a number of top managers including former Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri guided Chelsea to the Europa League title in the 2018-19 season, as the Blues played Sarri-ball — a system of play that wasn’t appreciated by the Chelsea fans.
Jamie Redknapp has now urged Tottenham that the signing of the former Chelsea manager won’t go down well with the Spurs fans.
“The timing [of Mourinho’s sacking] was incredible, but it doesn’t surprise me with the club, it has happened before.
“They hire and fire very quickly, but they have to make sure they get the next one right. There’s a lot of pressure now on the board to get it right.
“It hasn’t worked out with Jose Mourinho, now the next manager has to be the right one, otherwise the pressure will really grow.
“Maurizio Sarri will not excite the Spurs fans one bit, not one bit. You’d imagine Julian Nagelsmann will go and take the Bayern Munich job. Nuno Espirito Santo – does that excite me? Not sure.
“Scott Parker looks like he might be going down with Fulham, but has history with Tottenham. Rafa Benitez? No. Brendan Rodgers, would you leave Leicester now, where you have established something?”
