Chelsea secured a huge win over Leicester on Tuesday night that earned us revenge for our FA Cup final defeat and also put us in the driving seat for Champions League qualification.
Following the victory over Leicester City, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel warned his players that the job isn’t done yet.
Chelsea can still miss out on Champions League qualification if we lose our final league game to Aston Villa while Leicester and Liverpool win theirs.
Tuchel said to Sky Sports: “Fantastic. It was an outstanding performance but the job is not done. We have two more to go. The fans made a huge difference.
“You see the speed in our game, the hunger, the ambition. It was a very, very strong performance and I’m delighted the team can present itself like this in front of our fans.
“We needed that for today. We were fired up from our loss against Arsenal. Today we did what we do. We played courageous, high intensity, aggressive. Happy to have the win but I need to repeat, it’s not done.
“I don’t feel comfortable celebrating now – for what? I’m not worried, I just say what’s needed.
“It was much better [than Sunday]. Top performance. First half was amazing, the quality and energy. Second half as well. We gave an easy goal away that made us suffer a bit in the end but overall a very deserved win.
“It’s still in our hands [finishing in the top four]. We need another huge performance, the same ambition, but with fans in the Aston Villa ground will be super hard.”
