Mason Mount gave Thomas Tuchel an injury scare after he fell awkwardly in the 70th minute following an aerial ball contention. The Chelsea midfielder fell on his back and didn’t stand up immediately, as the physios had to come to his aid.
Barely five minutes later, Mount was subbed off for Tammy Abraham, with Abraham playing the final 15 minutes of the game.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel gave a positive update on Mount, and revealed that he wasn’t given a negative update on the 22-year-old after the game.
Tuchel revealed that he planned to take off Mount nevertheless, and his fall didn’t force him to make the change.
Mount is expected to feature in the Champions League semi-final second leg clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
