Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was pleased with the team’s performance in the 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Tuesday.
The win over the Foxes have kept Chelsea in good stead to seal a top four finish, as the Blues are now third in the league.
Speaking after the win over Leicester City, Thomas Tuchel was pleased with the performance of the team and particularly Antonio Rudiger and Timo Werner. However, the Chelsea manager maintained that this isn’t the right time to celebrate or praise the players.
Tuchel has demanded focus ahead of crucial games against Aston Villa and then Manchester City in the Champions League final.
Tuchel said: “There is no time for extra praise, now the time is to enjoy the free day and then be ready to work and be ready for Aston Villa, nothing else.
“For Toni I’m absolutely happy that he scored for us. He was again very good, very reliable, but I feel a bit uncomfortable today to praise single players and praise single players because now it’s important to stay really strong as a group and to come together as a group.
“We absolutely need to refocus on Sunday. This is not the time for celebration.”
