UEFA were in talks with the government over moving May’s Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester City to Wembley but reports claim talks have stalled.

The UEFA Champions League final is set to be moved to Portugal from Istanbul due to pandemic issues in Turkey, according to The Associated Press via Daily Mail.

The 50,000-capacity Estadio do Dragao, home of FC Porto, has been lined up as the venue for the May 29 final after talks with the British government over the use of Wembley Stadium stalled.

Talks over moving the final to Wembley stalled after the British government refused to grant quarantine exemptions required for 2,000 VIPs and media attending the Champions League final.
