Four goals inside the first 36 minutes sealed Barcelona’s first European title as they beat Chelsea Women 4-0 in the Women’s Champions League final.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was in attendance as the women from Barcelona thrashed our women from London.

According to Chelsea Women coach Emma Hayes, Chelsea players vowed to Roman Abramovich that they will return to the Champions League final in the future following the defeat to Barcelona.

“Our owner came in to see us, and all the girls were very quick to tell him that we’ll be back here and we’ll work hard on the training pitch to make sure we do that,” Hayes said.

“If I know this group well enough I know that they mean those words. This is just another step in our journey.”
