Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has left his role as Inter Milan boss just weeks after guiding the Italian club to the Serie A title.
Conte’s departure from Inter Milan is good news for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as it gives the club a huge boost in the race for Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.
Tuchel is keen on signing a striker this summer and the Blues have been linked with Harry Kane, Erling Haaland and Lukaku.
The chances of Kane moving across London are slim, whereas Dortmund would demand a huge fee for Haaland a year before his release clause becomes active.
With Conte leaving Inter Milan, the chances of signing Lukaku has now been boosted.
One of the main reasons why Lukaku was attracted to Inter two years ago was Antonio Conte who took charge of the club that summer.
With Conte gone and Inter Milan struggling financially, Lukaku could just be a Chelsea player next season.
