According to Football London, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is planning to ruin Arsenal’s transfer plans by making a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba.

Arsenal are looking to replace David Luiz this summer by signing Tapsoba but Granovskaia is now hoping to ruin Mikel Arteta’s transfer plans by making a move for the 22 year old defender.

Tapsoba was excellent for Leverkusen last season as they finished sixth in Bundesliga, with the 22 year old making 39 appearances in all competitions.

Tapsoba has a long-term contract until 2026 at Leverkusen and is valued at around £60million with the German club seeing him as a vital piece of their plans going forward.

Chelsea recently signed Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen and could sign another player from the German side this summer.
