Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen put in a good shift in the Champions League final as he came on for an injured Thiago Silva late in the first half.
Christensen really had a good game and ensured that there was no void following Silva’s exit.
Chelsea legends John Terry and Didier Drogba hailed Christensen for his performance and congratulated him for the team’s success.
The two legends replied to a post from the 25-year-old on social media celebrating the victory.
“Congratulations mate,” Terry posted on Instagram.
“Yes my man, what a game, you’ve grown so much, much love,” Drogba said on the same post.
Christensen then replied to Drogba’s comment, saying: “Means a lot, thank you, all love”.
The Denmark International has impressed during the time he has been called up this season. There was a stage in the season when Thiago Silva was out of action for two months, but Christensen stepped in, and ensured that the Brazilian wasn’t missed, just like we saw in the Champions League final.
