Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly close to completing the free signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester United were all reportedly interested in signing the goalkeeper on a free transfer but PSG seems to have won the race for the 22 year old.
Donnarumma’s eight-year spell with AC Milan will come to an end this summer after the highly-rated goalkeeper failed to agree new terms with the Italian club.
According to Sky Sports, PSG have offered Donnarumma a five-year deal worth £10million (€12m) a year plus add-ons, making him one of the world’s best-paid players in his position.
According to French media outlet L’Equipe, Donnarumma will be sent straight back out on loan given PSG’s surplus of goalkeepers already at the club.
Chelsea didn’t really need the AC Milan goalkeeper as we already had Edouard Mendy who has impressed since joining from Rennes last year.
