Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso was spotted drinking beer from Thomas Tuchel’s shoe as the Chelsea players celebrated the team’s Champions League success.

The Spaniard was spotted filling Tuchel’s shoes with beer and then having a sip from the same shoe. It was a horrible thing to do, but there’s an explanation to it.

Thomas Tuchel’s shoes were seen as lucky shoes and the Chelsea players were spotted kissing the shoes in the post-match celebrations after winning the Champions League final against Man City.

Olivier Giroud and Edouard Mendy both kissed their hands before patting it over the German gaffer’s shoes – much to his amusement.

The story behind the shoe is that PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi bought the shoes for Tuchel as a gift for last season’s Champions League final against Bayern Munich. However, Tuchel didn’t wear it at the time because he was wearing braces.

Upon wearing it for the Champions League final, the players then deemed it as a lucky shoe.
