Sergio Ramos is now a free agent after failing to agree new terms with Real Madrid.
The veteran defender has decided to path ways with Real Madrid, and many top clubs have already been linked with his signature.
Chelsea, PSG and Manchester United are among the clubs to have been linked with a move for Ramos. But it’s yet to be seen if Chelsea would make a move for the experienced defender, when the club already has 36-year-old Thiago Silva.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United and Everton striker Louis Saha has backed United to make the move for Ramos, and he believes that the veteran defender can even do better than what Thiago Silva has done in his first season at Chelsea.
“If you see the impact of Thiago Silva at Chelsea, the impact of Sergio Ramos would be the same, or maybe even bigger,” Saha told Gamblingdeals.com.
“The guy is known for that type of leadership, has the ability to step up and score a lot of goals, he’s one of the best ever goalscoring defenders.
“He’s a big player on the big stage. If you want to win trophies, he’s as strong a signing as Thiago Silva, and there are few players who can galvanise a club like this.
“So whether it’s London or Paris, I think he’ll be an amazing signing.”
