Mason Mount has been receiving glowing reviews under Thomas Tuchel, and his image as being Frank Lampard’s son is now distant memory.

Mount was a top player for Chelsea as the Blues went on to win the Champions League, and he has now been backed to play a huge role for England in Euro 2020.

Former Chelsea transfer target Jack Grealish, who is now being linked strongly with Manchester City and Manchester United, has revealed his admiration for Mount.

“Mason Mount is another one who’s always training at 100 per cent,” Grealish told England’s official Twitter account. “He’s always top class out there.”

Grealish also played down talks of a rivalry between him and Mount in the Three Lions squad.

“I love Mason,” he said. “It’s a bit annoying actually because he probably gets a little bit of stick at times from it, but I’ve always been close with Mason, I think he’s an absolutely terrific player.

“I don’t even think we’re really fighting for the same spot to be honest.

“Like I said, I think Mason’s underrated and he deserves all the credit he gets.

“I think people that know about football will understand just how good he is.”
