Chelsea striker Timo Werner has given his thoughts on the new VAR offside line rule.
The Premier League is to introduce “thicker lines” to help the video assistant referee rule on offside decisions next season.
It is believed thicker lines used by VAR should benefit the attacker and give them the benefit of the doubt as the measurement used will not be as fine as last season.
Werner believes he would have five more goals if thicker lines had been used last season.
Werner said: “I read that they want to make the VAR line thicker in England. that would be good for me.
“Because then I would have 5 more goals this season.
“Basically the VAR is fine. And I say that, although I suffered most of it.”
