Former Premier League player Dean Windass has urged Chelsea striker Batshuayi to make a summer move to Leeds United amid the uncertainty surrounding his career at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian who spent last season on loan at Premier League side Crystal Palace has never really had a look-in since joining the current European Champions from Marseille in a £33m deal in 2016.
Despite Blues boss Thomas Tuchel scurrying the market for a lethal striker, Batshuayi is deemed surplus to requirements.
As a matter of fact, the player is expected to be sold this summer to recoup a sizeable transfer fee especially with one year left in his contract.
Dean Windass believes a reunion with Leeds United Boss Marcelo Bielsa could just be what the Belgian needs to resurrect his career after his struggles in holding down a place at Chelsea.
“I could see that. I would love to see Bielsa’s list because it would be very interesting,” Windass told This Is Futbol
“He’s got to go back to Chelsea and prove himself there, but if Bielsa comes in and the money is right, I’m sure he would want to join him again.”
Batshuayi was Bielsa’s first signing when he was at Marseille and the possibility of a transfer to Elland Road can not be ruled out. Just keep an eye on this one.
