Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour got his first competitive start for Scotland in the European Championship as Steve Clarke gave him a start against England in their second Euro 2020 clash.
It was a huge game for the Scots, and for Gilmour to get his first start in that game needed a lot of composure from him.
The 20-year-old ended up dictating play at Wembley and was named the man of the match after the game.
After a fine performance in his first competitive international debut, Gilmour has earned praises from all corners, including Jorginho whom he understudies at Chelsea.
After the game, Gilmour praised Scotland fans on Instagram for their ‘unreal’ support at Wembley. In reply to his post, Jorginho and Pulisic took the opportunity to praise their Chelsea teammate.
In his reply, Jorginho wrote: ‘Well done Bebezinho’. Meanwhile, Pulisic wrote, ‘my dawg’ alongside two fire emojis.
