According to The Northern Echo, Premier League side Newcastle United are interested in signing Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Billy Gilmour this summer.
Newcastle United hope to sign both players on loan this summer.
Newcastle United have reportedly spoken to Chelsea officials about their interest in Gilmour and Abraham, and while the Blues are currently reluctant to agree to loan moves for either player, there is a feeling that position could change as the summer progresses.
Gilmour looks likely to leave Chelsea on loan this summer but Thomas Tuchel might want to keep him as part of the squad in order to guarantee midfield cover.
Chelsea are reportedly not interested in a loan move for Tammy Abraham and would prefer a permanent transfer for the England striker.
Having enabled Joe Willock to flourish during his loan spell at St James’ Park, Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce believes he can persuade Tuchel and the rest of Chelsea’s coaching staff that Gilmour would also benefit from a spell in the starting line-up at Newcastle.
