Romelu Lukaku has become one of the best strikers in world football following his move to Italy from England.

Lukaku shone for Inter as they ended Juventus’ dominance in Serie A and sealed their first Italian top-flight title in 11 years, scoring 24 goals and producing 11 assists in 36 matches.

The former Chelsea man was unsettled following the departure of Antonio Conte, and he was keen on leaving the San Siro this summer.

However, new Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has spoken with Lukaku and convinced him against leaving, with Chelsea reportedly keen on his services.

Reports from the Italian media claims Inzaghi has promised Lukaku that he will be Serie A’s top scorer next season.

Corriere dello Sport claims Inzaghi made the promise to Romelu Lukaku during a phone call.

Despite Lukaku’s goals last season, he still ended up behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the Golden Boot, with Ronaldo scoring four more than him.
