Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has been wearing a mask since April when he received a blow to the face in the Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid.

Following his recovery, Rudiger has since been spotted with a protective mask. He wore it for the remainder of Chelsea’s fixtures until the end of the season and has also taken it to the Euros.

The 28-year-old has admitted that he’d wear the mask all through Germany’s participation in the Euro 2020 tournament until he meets back up with Chelsea’s medical staff.

“It’s still there for protection,” Rudiger said before Germany’s defeat to France.

“I’ll have to see what the Chelsea doctors say when I get back to London.”
