Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour had to be wirhdrawn after half an hour on the pitch during Scotland’s last warm-up game for Euro 2020.
Gilmour was at the receiving end of a brutal tackle from Luxembourg’s Olivier Thil.
Scotland manager Steve Clarke has given an update on the midfielder.
“The doctors will assess him over the next couple of days but he’s a tough boy from Ardrossan. You have to be tough to come from that part of the world,” Clarke said after the game, as quoted by Daily Record,
“I didn’t really get a good view of the challenge and I haven’t seen it back yet but it’s one of these things that happen in football and the reaction of the players was good.
“The good news is he’s fine. We took him off as a precaution.”
