Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hailed Chelsea transfer target Erling Haaland as one of the best in the world.
“The numbers speak for themselves,” said Guardiola, as quoted by the Mirror. “Of course he’s one of the best strikers in the world right now at his age.
“I’ve seen few of his games, honestly, because I didn’t have much time. But I saw the highlights and the numbers in the Champions League and the league are impressive.
“I know the quality of this player and I think everyone knows. But in two weeks I could answer better, because I didn’t see much.”
Since the start of the 2019/20 season, Haaland has scored a total 85 goals at club level, which is a truly staggering, ridiculous return.
The Norway international was in blistering form this season for Dortmund, netting a whopping 41 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions, proving exactly why he is one of the most highly-rated players on the planet.
The Blues are reportedly keen on signing the Borussia Dortmund striker this summer.
