Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has decided Timo Werner won’t leaving Chelsea this summer amid interest from Real Madrid.
Tuchel reportedly believes Werner has a big role to play at Chelsea next season.
Werner endured a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge after his £53million move from RB Leipzig last summer, with the striker managing just six goals in the Premier League.
Despite his difficult first season at Chelsea, new Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to be considering a move for Werner this summer.
Meanwhile, Werner recently opened up on his struggles in front of goal and said his problems were worsened by VAR.
“I read that they want to make the VAR line thicker in England,” Werner said.
“That would be good for me because then I would have 5 more goals this season.
“Basically the VAR is fine, and I say that, although I suffered most of it.”
