Mason Mount missed England’s final group game against Czech Republic having come in contact with Billy Gilmour who tested positive to Covid-19.

While Mount has been a key part of Chelsea’s squad, Reece James has been a bit part player and has played one game in the Euros, while Ben Chilwell is yet to feature in the competition.

Meanwhile, former Chelsea right-back Glen Johnson believes England best eleven involves both Mount and Chilwell, as well as Reece James.

“I know Kyle Walker is good going forward and quick, but I just think Reece James is the better all-round player,” Glen Johnson told Stadium Astro.

“And from the midfield, we get Mount bursting forward.”

Meanwhile, former Chelsea goalkeeper Rob Green hailed Mason Mount and labelled him as a big loss for the Three Lions.

“Mason Mount, as soon as Johnson said his name, [I know] I forgot to mention him,” Green explained.

“He’s such a clear choice for me.

“I think he’s a lot bigger loss and would be the one we’d miss the most.”
