Kai Havertz finished last season in the best possible way as he scored Chelsea’s winning goal in the final against Manchester City.
The performance and his goal ended every criticism targeted at the £70m man, and Havertz have taken that form to the European Championship.
The 22-year-old put up a stellar performance in a crucial game for Germany against Portugal. It was a must win game for the Germans, and they got the win in that game, coming from behind to beat Portugal.
Havertz scored the third goal for Germany and helped force Portugal to score two own goals.
The Chelsea forward had a very good game and even his club mates recognised his quality at the end of the game.
After the game, Havertz took to his Instagram page and posted: “We continue to fight on, with another big game next week.”
Chelsea stars Tammy Abraham and Reece James responded to the German’s post with King K and King Kai respectively.
