Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas doesn’t see the Blues signing former striker Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku spent three years at Stamford Bridge earlier in his career but only made 10 league appearances before being sold to Everton.
Jenas believes Chelsea would sign Erling Haaland instead of Lukaku because Haaland is younger and the Blues rarely bring back former players.
“Is [Romelu] Lukaku the one? I don’t think Chelsea go back very much with players,” Jenas said.
“I think they will go younger and go with Haaland. I think they may go for it this year.
“They know they are probably the only ones along with Man City or PSG that can move that quick and that fast to make it happen. If they get Haaland, they will compete for the league, no doubt.”
