According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, AC Milan are pushing to sign Hakim Ziyech on loan this season with an option to buy, should his temporary stay in Italy prove a success.
Ziyech, 28, moved to Stamford Bridge last summer from Ajax for £38million. He was a regular under former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard but was unable to nail down a consistent starting berth under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
AC Milan have already completed permanent deals for former Chelsea duo Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud this summer.
Milan are confident they can get a deal done for Ziyech given their strong track record of working with Chelsea.
Ziyech scored six goals and provided four assists for the Blues across 39 appearances last season.
