Premier League rivals Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal will submit a bid for Abraham only if they are able to sell Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah this summer.
Lacazette and Nketiah both have just 12 months remaining on their existing Arsenal contracts, so will be free to leave for nothing in 2022.
Arteta and technical director Edu have spent the summer targeting players they feel can contribute in the mid-to-long term. They believe Abraham fit into their strategy.
Abraham fell out of favour under Thomas Tuchel last season, playing just 17 minutes in the final three months of the campaign.
