Premier League rivals Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Chelsea transfer target Miralem Pjanic.
According to Spanish media outlet Sport via Metro, Arsenal are in talks to sign the Barcelona midfielder on loan.
Pjanic has reportedly held intensive discussions with Barcelona with a view to finding a solution which suits all parties and ‘everything indicates’ the Bosnia and Herzegovina international will leave the club on loan.
Barca are keen to remove the out-of-favour playmaker from the wage bill and Arsenal are confident they have a realistic chance of securing the Bosnian’s signature over the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Pjanic reaponded to speculation linking him with a Barcelona exit last month.
“Leaving Barcelona? It’s hard to talk about that now,” Pjanic told Bosnian outlet Federalna TV.
“I’m spending the holidays with my family and that’s all I’m thinking about at the moment.
“The preparations for the new season start in July and then I’ll join the team. We’ll see what happens later.”
