According to The Sun, Premier League rivals Arsenal are now winning the race to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
The England striker is surplus to requirements at Chelsea looking to leave this summer.
Arsenal are reportedly ready to sign Abraham on loan from Chelsea with an obligation to sign the striker for Chelsea’s asking price of £40million.
Arsenal would likely pay a large chunk – if not all – of his wages to sign him on loan, which would see Chelsea’s wage bill reduced by around £80,000, freeing up resources to help finance transfer plans of our own.
Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham are also reportedly interested in signing the 23 year old striker but Arsenal are now reportedly winning the race for Abraham.
Abraham would have no issues joining our rivals Arsenal as he has previously admitted he grew up supporting Arsenal before joining the Chelsea academy.
Abraham was a key Chelsea player under former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard but Thomas Tuchel doesn’t have faith in the striker.
Tuchel is desperate to sign a top-quality striker this summer as he looks to build on his incredible Champions League triumph last season, and is happy to see Abraham leave the club.
Tuchel is also reportedly open to selling Timo Werner this summer despite the German international only joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig last summer.
