Roman Abramovich took over ownership of Chelsea in 2003, and the Russian billionaire has invested heavily in the club, which has seen the club’s fortunes change for the better over the past two decades.
However, there has been some suggestions that Abramovich’s commitment to Chelsea has dwindled in recent years, after the Russian was denied a UK visa.
Despite his issues with the UK government, Abramovich has shown his commitment to Chelsea. The club invested over £200m in new signings last summer and he was also present to watch the men and women’s team play in the Champions League final.
The Russian is also believed to be committed in seeing that Chelsea secure the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
Moreso, the Chelsea owner has taken his commitment level to another level as he has shown interest in the club’s pre-season games.
According to the Daily Mail, the Chelsea owner requested a live stream of Chelsea’s friendly against Peterborough so that he could watch his side while on holiday.
He’d definitely have been pleased to watch his side hit six past Peterborough.
