Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia reportedly texted Roma and Italy attacking full-back Leonardo Spinazzola following his injury in Italy’s 2-1 victory over Belgium.
The Blues were interested in signing the Roma left-back after his impressive performances for Italy in the Euro 2020 before he suffered an injury in the game against Belgium.
The talented defender has now been ruled out for between six and seven months.
Sky Sports reporter Angelo Mangiante confirmed Granovskaia texted the Roma left-back following his injury against Belgium.
Mangiante tweeted: “Spinazzola won’t be able to play for the next 6/7 months (broke his Achilles tendon).
“Spinazzola received messages and phone calls from Mourinho and other teams, including from Marina Granovskaia, as one of the clubs most interested in him was Chelsea. Stay strong”
