According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri has handed in a transfer request to the club.
Fresh from winning the European Championships with Italy and helping Chelsea to a Champions League triumph, the 26 year old left-back thinks it’s time to leave Chelsea.
Emerson barely played for Chelsea last season, making just two substitute appearances in the Premier League.
He came off the bench against Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League last season to score.
Following the victory over Atletico Madrid, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel described the left-back as “one of the nicest guys you can imagine”.
A move back to Italy seems the most likely destination for Emerson Palmieri, with several Serie A sides interested in the 26 year old.
Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma, and Juventus are all reportedly interested in signing Emerson Palmieri this summer.
