Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that he shouldn’t be compared to another former Blues boss Antonio Conte.

Mourinho and Conte don’t seem to have a good relationship, and things broke out when Conte was in charge of Chelsea and Mourinho in charge of Manchester United, as the pair fell out on the sidelines.

Mourinho won the league three times at Chelsea, while Conte did it once in his two years at the club.

Conte only recently left Inter Milan, a former club coached by Jose and he did well there too as he won the Scudetto for Inter — for the first time in 11 years, with Jose Mourinho being the last winner with Inter Milan.

However, Mourinho who has been unveiled to Roma fans as their new manager, has now said that he should never be compared to Conte regarding both their time in the Milan club.

Speaking in a press conference as he was unveiled as the new manager at Roma, Mourinho gave his thoughts on his status as one of the most important figures in the Nerazzurri dugout.

Jose said: “There are coaches in the history of the club who cannot be compared to anyone. Here we are talking about [former Roma bosses Nils] Liedholm or [Fabio] Capello, don’t compare them. At Inter don’t compare anyone to me or Herrera: you can’t.”
