Mason Mount has been a key player for Chelsea over the past two years, and the midfielder has grown from being a youngster from the academy to being a key player for club and country.
The 22-year-old has impressed the Chelsea board with his football, and reports claim that he is set to be rewarded by the club after reaching the Euro 2020 final with England.
Having been named Chelsea Player of the Year last season, Ian McGarry from the Transfer Podcast has claimed that Chelsea are preparing to reward Mason Mount with a mouthwatering pay rise on his contract.
Mount currently earns £80,000-a-week, and his new salary will see his figures rise to £120k every week.
“Another England player who is going to be going to be involved in a contract situation, we understand, is Mason Mount,” said the transfer reporter.
“That contract could mean anything up to £50,000-a-week pay rise on his current salary, which is on around £80,000-a-week.”
