Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is keen on strengthening Chelsea’s attack this summer and the Blues have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland scored 41 goals in 41 games for Borussia Dortmund last season and he is seen as the player needed to solve Chelsea’s goalscoring problems.
According to Daily Express, Haaland joining Chelsea would be bad news for at least four Chelsea players.
The report claims Haaland’s arrival at Chelsea would be bad news for Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech.
Abraham struggled to get game time following Tuchel’s arrival at Chelsea last season and the Blues are reportedly open to selling the striker for £40million.
Despite extending his Chelsea contract, Giroud has been linked with a move to Italian side AC Milan and the signing of Haaland is expected to hasten Giroud’s Chelsea exit.
Tuchel has played with three players up front since becoming Chelsea boss and Daily Express expects that to continue next season which would affect Pulisic’s position in the starting XI with Tuchel expected to start Haaland, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner in attack.
Ziyech’s gametime at Chelsea reduced after Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss in January and Daily Express expects the Moroccan international to struggle to get gametime if Haaland arrives at Chelsea.
Daily Express describes Ziyech as not speedy enough to play on the flanks in the Premier League and lacking the physicality needed to succeed in the English game.
